Quality & Equality
We created Marker Learning to fix the currently broken system, where children are put on years-long waitlists for a learning disability evaluation, and families and schools are often being charged over $10,000 for an assessment.
Our mission is to provide best-in-class evaluations to the millions of students who currently do not have access to them. We strive to inspire and support students with all types of learning needs, so they can achieve their full potentials.
Jayne’s legacy
Meet Stefan, our co-founder & CEO:
Early on, Stefan suffered in school. He struggled so much his teachers declared that he’d be lucky to graduate high school. That’s when Stefan’s mom, Jayne, stepped in. She made it her mission to figure out why her intelligent son was failing. After months of navigating the school system and thousands of dollars spent on a learning disability evaluation, Stefan was diagnosed with dyslexia.
Having his problem accurately diagnosed, impacted Stefan’s life forever -- changing his trajectory from high school dropout, to Yale graduate.
Jayne passed away before Stefan graduated from Yale, but Marker is carrying on her life's mission to help all students get the learning support they need.
1 in 5
1 in 5 students has a learning disability like dyslexia. If your child is struggling, they’re not alone. In fact, they’re in great company. Some of the greatest minds in history are thought to have dyslexia — Albert Einstein, Eleanor Roosevelt, Charles Schwab and Steven Spielberg…just to name a few.
Diagnosis is the first step
A valid learning disability diagnosis is required for getting your student the proper assistance and support they need in school. Moreover, undiagnosed students are more likely to suffer from poor self-esteem, anxiety, and depression, drop out of school, and be unemployed later in life.
